Cambridge was founded in 2013 to provide accurate, timely and affordable financial information services to OTC market participants. The firm is privately-held and works primarily through redistribution partners, including leading market data and terminal providers, to syndicate our content around the globe.

Our services are built upon the belief that complete and accurate data are required to be successful. To this end, we have developed pieces of proprietary technology that acquire and enrich data from across the OTC markets.
Data acquisition means acquiring content that is otherwise difficult to obtain. Our primary means of data acquisition is a data parsing platform that reads messages sent from the sell side to the buy side and extracts the pricing information contained therein.
Data enrichment means using the data that we have acquired to create timely, complete and consistent financial information services. Our primary means of manipulating data is to imply pricing levels from observable data points, and then to use these data to model additional data points. We do this by pricing fixed income instruments using proprietary models, by implying yield curves and volatility surfaces from traded levels in the market, and by determining the appropriate comparable instrument when modeling illiquid municipal bonds, or structured financial instruments like MBS, CMBS and ABS.
As an independent firm whose sole purpose is to provide financial information services, Cambridge does not compete with the brokers and dealers that are the ultimate sources of observable pricing information in the OTC markets. Our agnostic approach and strategic decision not to compete with either our clients or our suppliers ensures that we acquire as much data as possible, the benefits of which we then pass on to our clients.
